Ere Gowda


Ere is a Scriptwriter and Assistant Director on films. His 2012 short film Eka, shot with just a DSLR camera, went on to be screened at 21 international film festivals and won many awards. 

More recently, he wrote the ambitious 160-page screenplay script for the award-winning Kannada movie Thithi, featuring over 100 characters. The film premiered at the 68th Locarno International Film Festival in August 2015 where it won two major awards. 

Ere also won the “Best Dialogue awards” at the 2016 Karnataka State Film Awards and Best Scriptwriter at the 19th Shanghai International Film Festival for Thithi under the Asia New Talent Awards Category. Since its release, Thithi has also gone on to win numerous other awards at film festivals held in Mumbai, Palm Springs, Marrakech and various other parts of the world.
