October 25 - October 27, 2013 in Kochi, Kerala
INK2013: All That Matters
INK2013 voyages on to Kochi, the breathtaking port-city in southern state of Kerala. We’re not the first to be taken in by its charms – from ancient times, its shores have served as a hub of cultural convergence. Till today, Chinese fishing nets dot its coast, India’s oldest synagogue stands beside its oldest churches, and historic spice houses share turf with Dutch and Portuguese palaces. Kerala’s traditions stand strong beside these myriad influences, manifested in fiery boat races along its plentiful canals, stunning martial art forms, and fascinating green-faced Kathakali dancers.
Steeped in natural wealth, Kochi heads one of the most prosperous, and the most literate, states in India. Malayalam serves as the local language, though English is widely known. Located just north of the equator, Kochi is flanked by the forested Western Ghats to its east, and the Arabian Sea to its west, both of which gently moderate its tropical climate.
The conference will take place at the Le Meridien Kochi, Maradu.
